A two part performance:
A actor will show up wearing solid white clothing (button down long sleeve shirt, slacks, belt, and shoes) and then every 20 to 30 minutes will change into a different solid colored outfit that is one shade of gray darker. While the tonal shift of each outfit will be gradual, over the period of the performance the actor will go from wearing pure white to pure black.
Once the part is over, I gradually passed out postcards of a dark image, in dark room at night. In order to see the image, a viewer, must move to a brighter lighting condition, in order to see a almost black image.
